Freelance Designer, Tampa, FL (8/2005 – Present)
As a freelance designer, for the past eight years, I have acquired considerable knowledge and skills of the principles, practices and procedures for graphic design, layout, illustration, and lettering. I have created brochures, flyers, pamphlets, posters and illustrations. My knowledge, skills and abilities include manual and automated graphic techniques. My client list includes, but is not limited to: Ringling College of Art and Design’s satellite campus, “Longboat Key Center for the Arts”, the bands Shark Teeth and Hot Toddies, and Magic Bullet Skateboards. My most recent shirt was featured in the promotion image for Coheed and Cambrea and currently maintain a social media blog followed by over 11K people.
Designer, Tampa, FL (5/ 2014 – 6/2015)
As a designer with Public Imagery, I created custom art and conceptual art for franchisees of Hooters, Winghouse, Twin Peaks, Applebee’s, Olive Garden, Denny’s, Rip Tides, Sioux City Steakhouse and GAP. I helped maintain digital files and create new files that could be printed / created and later installed. I adhered to strict guidelines for the ADA to make sure that all artwork created complied with the safety requirements. I was often tasked with creating original ideas that could be fabricated in a shop by a team of skilled workers to be installed at a later date. I would research and create custom murals to be printed and installed based on blueprints supplied by the contractors.

As a creative designer with Alfstad&, I created digital and traditional promotional materials for advertising campaigns, signage, branding, maps, letterhead, forms, tickets, mockups, postcards, and flyers. I also created large-scale works of art for screen-printing. Additionally, I photographed works of art, in progress, for promotional materials, and press releases. I maintained the active file structure for all graphic and art materials stored on the business server. I conducted research for special projects; such as, screen-printing materials, point-of-sale systems, and new art processes.

Art Intern, Portland, OR (5/2012 – 8/2012)
As an Art Intern, I created “in game assets” (e.g. book covers, in game notes, and letters) for the video game “Gone Home” which was released August 15, 2013. I used traditional pen and ink, and Photoshop to create original artwork for the game. Digital Tutor, Sarasota, FL (8/2011 – 5/2013)
As a digital tutor, I taught Ringling students and faculty how to use Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, Indesign, After Effects, PowerPoint, Cyberduck, Kirswild, Microsoft Word and Excel. Due to the diverse skill levels of the students and faculty, I relied on my extensive program knowledge and various teaching techniques to ensure each student and faculty member could adequately use the programs.
Smith Gallery, Basch, & CJ, Gallery Assistant,

As a gallery assistant in three galleries, I placed and hung works of art, adjusted lighting and performed various administrative duties including opening and closing the galleries. I greeted and assisted gallery attendees. I provided expertise on artwork within the gallery, which includes artist biographies and artistic techniques. As an additional duty, I edited DVD videos used for viewing in the gallery.
Florida Motocross Magazine,
Lead Designer, Sarasota, FL (2/2009 - 12/2009)
As a designer, I created and maintained the cover-to-cover layout and design for a monthly motorcycle magazine. I also created and maintained advertisements for various companies for the magazine and updated them as needed to keep the advertisement current. I performed the quality control and prepared the magazine for press. Additionally, I edited and maintained the website for customer ease in ordering.

I utilized Photoshop and Illustrator to create and maintain web editable invitations. I compared the digital invitation to the original; I matched colors, and checked the typography. I attended and participated in the weekly design meetings to discuss workflow, current design trends and design changes.

As a graphic designer, I created and maintained graphic designs and maps for the Department of Transportation. I created flyers and promotional materials for the City of Tampa, Hillsborough County and various statewide departments to increase awareness of current projects, construction and job bids. I took digital photographs of engineering projects and photoshoped them to provide a future representation of the project. I created digital banners, brochures, flyers and CD covers for various projects ranging from $5,000,000 to $45,000,000 in estimated construction costs. I was responsible for archiving digital material and files and sending them off-site for storage.
